Stand: Brugt - men i god stand
Precise antique, adjustable rod depth micrometer.
Brown & Sharpe, now Hexagon. Manufactured: Jan 11 1898 (see second picture).
Was used in a workshop and presents handling sings, but properly taken care of.
Bottom knurling was filed down to allow measuring flush to a surface.
Never droped or bent and clearly readable scale marks.
Specifications:
Adjustable position of the rod using the top most thumb screw. It allows measuring absolute depth (against the base of the micrometer) or relative depth when referenced against another surface of the work piece. Rod has 10mm depth marks for orientation (it is recomended to calibrate by other means).
Range: 0-60mm (real 0-63mm).
Precision: 10 microns.
Base dimensions: 51x11mm.
Range of the micrometer head: 0-13mm.
Plain thimble - Pressure applied to the work piece depends on the skills of the technician.
