Rare 20 kroner minting error 2005
Varebeskrivelse
Stand: Brugt - med synlige brugsspor
This is a valid circulating, 20 kroner from Denmark that I got as change from a shop. On the obverse you have the old queen Margrethe II. The words Margrethe Denmarks Dronning, and the date 2005, are barely visible. Just before the M of Margrethe, upside down, there appears to be an A, coming from a previous coin. I am no expert, but there are many things that tell me that the holes on the coin, the damage of the rim and the apparent wear of the coin, did not happen after the minting. I have an electronic kitchen scale. The coin weighs 9gr, when it should weigh 9.3. On the reverse, the mistakes are obvious, a big crack on the right, from the rim to the coat of arms, the shaky rim and before the 20, what appears to be letters from a previous coin. Resuming: This is a very rare coin, unique and beautiful, as if a thousand years had passed, and not merely 20. Maybe a numismatic expert could pinpoint what exactly were the mistakes and what other coin it could have been printed on. The coin is aluminum bronze, and it has a medal alignment. On the Schon catalogue it is number 110. The engraver was M MOller
