Several special Pikachu-themed items of merchandise were made available in commemoration of the opening of Pokémon Center Hiroshima on June 26, 2015, among which included the Pretend Magikarp & Pretend Gyarados Pikachu Special Box (Japanese: スペシャルBOX コイキングごっこ&ギャラドスごっこピカチュウ). Similarly to items released for the rebrand of Pokémon Center Mega Tokyo, the Pikachu depicted wear ponchos resembling Pokémon Center Hiroshima’s mascot Gyarados as well as its prior evolution Magikarp on a number of items packaged in the box. These include two exclusive Full Art promotional cards, a set of 62 card sleeves, a deck case, and a long card box for storage. The special box also comes packaged with five Bandit Ring booster packs.
