‘Taschen "Fashion - A History from the 18th to the 20th Century" book (The Collection of the Kyoto Costume Institute), consisting of two volumes.
The Kyoto Costume Institute recognizes the sociological, historical, and artistic significance of clothing. The institute has one of the world's largest collections of clothing and has held many exhibitions. The institute has the greatest focus on clothing for Western women and its collection consists of historical clothing, underwear, shoes and accessories from the 18th century to the present. The book consists of pictures from the department's archives, which show the clothes on mannequins.’
