In 2010 - 2016 this Dutch shipyard construction was completely refitted - the steel hull was completely sandblasted, rebuilt from the inside to the outside, rebuilt, engine overhauled (then approx. 550 engine hours), bow thruster installed and is virtually a new construction from 2015 in a steel hull from 1993.
The ship is very easy to sail alone, including locking and mooring/ unmooring - no problem. The consumption of the engine, Perkins Prima M50, is approx. 2.2 l/h at a cruising speed of 10 km/h - maximum speed approx. 13/14 km/h - with the tide Elbe up to 17 km/h.
The boat is suitable for all rivers, inland areas and coastal cruising - Müritz, Havel, Elbe, Dutch waters etc. - but I have also sailed the Bay of Lübeck.
The "Kleine Freiheit" - also registered in the German Maritime Register of Shipping - got a new Raymarine chart plotter and a new ICOM 506 radio in 2022.
A small bathroom with toilet and small washbasin, a galley with 3-burner gas stove and small sink round off the equipment. Two adults can sleep very comfortably and cozily in the bunk in the foredeck - and possibly a child in the middle.
The boat can also be driven from the outside using the throttle and tiller with hydraulic switch.
An inexpensive berth can possibly be taken over in the Harburg inland port (tide-free!).
Various equipment - "Pött&Pann" as well as new lines, 8 life jackets, etc. etc. can also be taken over - price to be discussed.

After inquiring with the new owners of the BARKAS patent, a new construction of this ship today would be around 340,000 EUR. I have now lowered the price for the last time because I simply don't have the time to sail it any more.
