De Vries, årg. 1976, skrogmateriale Stål, Diesel, hjemhavn Tyskland, This beautiful long keeler - steel ketch was designed and built from indestructible Corten steel alloy by the renowned P.Valk yachtyard in Franeker (www.valkyachts.nl) according to plans and under the supervision of the de Vries Lentsch design office for a circumnavigation.
After many decades of wonderful journeys and experiences, the owners would like to devote themselves to new adventures on land for reasons of age.
The many details and optimizations of the highest quality can probably be described as unique and as good as new. Continuously maintained by the owner - a ship's engineer - and the shipyard in a state of care that is certainly second to none. Almost all the fittings, from the sea valves (gate valves), which also enable operation in ice, to the tanks are oversized and are otherwise only found on large seagoing vessels.
Extract of the key data:
Length: 12.80 m
Width: 3.65 m
Draught: 1.70
Year built: 1972
Displacement: 16t
Berths: 5+ 2 (saloon)
Equipment: Furuno GPS, radar, chart plotter, depth sounder, webast, Rheinstrom WC, Victron inverter and charger, fluxgate, life raft, dinghy with fixed hull, davits, 12V/24V mains, full sails, spinaker and blister, deck wash pump, holding tank and much more.
In the course of its lifetime, a new teak deck has been laid in addition to obvious maintenance measures such as a complete sandblasting of the underwater hull and all bilges and subsequent epoxy-based sealing. The engine electrics were brought up to date, the engine - a powerful and indestructible BL Torneycroft with 75 hp - was overhauled and new sails and booms were purchased. All hatches have been made of stainless steel by Manship. A replacement engine is also available.
All deck superstructures, handrails, railing supports, etc. are bolted to V4A spacers to prevent corrosion. The rubbing strake and the deckhouse frame are also made of stainless steel.
The interior fittings made of high-quality woods such as teak and mahogany were completely renewed just a few years ago. The layout offers an excellent size ratio for a family as well as couples. A large wet room with shower, pilot berth, sitting area in the saloon and berths both forward and in the aft cabin make life on this ship a real pleasure.
This ship is built for safe worldwide cruising and is currently equipped for the owners' sailing area, mainly the entire Baltic Sea coast. Possibilities to install solar and wind generator available.
This is only an excerpt. For further details, we recommend a viewing and we will be happy to answer any questions you may have in advance. The berth on the Baltic Sea can be taken over if necessary.
