An extraordinary ship is looking for a special owner.
The Westerly Berwick 31 (manufacturer Westerly, England) is a universal ship due to its design and sensible extensions, which was designed for the North Sea and as a chine keeler for dry-docking.
Her current sailing area is the North Sea, Greetsiel/East Frisia. She has already left this area several times in recent years for the Baltic Sea.
A chart plotter is ready for use to ensure safe navigation.
On cold days, an auxiliary heater provides warmth on board.
In 2008, the entire underwater hull, including the gelcoat, was renewed by the renowned company Peter Wrede in Hamburg. The bilge keels and the rudder blade were blasted, primed with epoxy primer, filled and coated with epoxy shield.
In 2020, the underwater hull, the bilge keels and the rudder blade were blasted again by Wrede in Hamburg and then coated with epoxy shield.
All the outlets are made of brass and all the tanks (diesel, drinking water) are made of stainless steel.
These are features that are rarely found on modern boats as they have become unaffordable.
The Craftsman CM3.27 engine (27 hp) was replaced in 2016.
At the same time, a new fixed shaft with a new propeller was installed.
The electrics were completely renewed in 2016. The two consumption batteries and starter battery are charged by a Sterling Power.
The ship is extremely well maintained and has always wintered indoors.
To improve the sailing characteristics, this ship was fitted with a new
INMAST furling mainsail, including a new main boom.
A furling genoa is also available.
A wet room with WC and washbasin are on board.
The entire deck was rebuilt with KIWI-Grip in 2017.
The new 4 large windows made in 2020 make the saloon a cozy, light-flooded room, even on rainy days.
In bad weather, the cake stand provides even more space and protection.
The sprayhood, with a fixed pane, protects all crew members in rough seas.
