Archambault Grand Surprise

Very good sailing characteristics and very good seakeeping in wind and waves with high speed potential characterize the approximately 2.7 t boat with 1.05 t ballast on a short keel with a draught of 2.05 m, developed and built for stability on the French Atlantic coast, where it is used as a standard class with large fields. Rig without backstays! Can be safely handled by 2 people, all halyards and spreaders made of Dynema and operated from the cockpit via 2 Lewmar winches. 2 additional sheet winches in the cockpit. Mast, running and standing rigging 2023 new.
The strong curves in the hull and cockpit, a unique feature of Archambault, make sailing in rough seas very pleasant.
Four berths below deck, a small sink and a simple single-burner stove as well as storage compartments for food and crockery allow for day trips and regattas as well as trips lasting several weeks. Almost all upholstery new in 2021.
Engine: Lombardini 11 hp with shaft system and two-blade folding propeller achieves 4.5 - 5 knots and harbor maneuvers with ease.
