Bobåt med båtplass, Flodbåd, årg. 1980, fod 33, Diesel, skrog: Stål, hjemhavn: Kongen Marina (Norge), Looking for Oslo's coolest home? Look no further!
Say goodbye to expensive house prices or overpriced apartments.
(Go all the way to the end of the pictures for atmospheric images)
Our beloved home of two years is being sold with a heavy heart as we leave Oslo and Norway for a while.
We have had great pleasure in calling this our home. Here you have Oslo's most affordable home with sea views and the opportunity to move your home.
The boat in its entirety is self-built (as far as we know) and from the 80s. The previous owner bought it as part of an estate and spent almost 200,000 on refurbishing it.
So you could say that Gnubjørg looks more like an apartment than a boat inside. A fantastic boat and/or cabin at sea.
What we fell in love with when we bought it two years ago was its surprising spaciousness despite its short length. You can move two abreast pretty much throughout the boat, and with my height of 194cm you can stand upright for about 50% of the boat (which is rare for tall guys). My wife at 175cm stands upright in the whole boat.
The boat is well suited as a motorhome as there is a lot of storage space. The boat is partially insulated (in winter, winter mats are placed on top of the deck for better insulation. These are included).
It also has a shower that was installed by a professional, but the shower is now used as storage space instead.
It was done a lot on it by the previous owner before sale, where some of the process is attached in pictures (including sandblasting). The boat was bought up in Dalen (fresh water).
We have taken the boat up on slip both years we have had it. Last summer we had almost two weeks where a lot of work was done:
Sanding ALL the way down to the steel to check for rust (there was no rust)
Epoxy and antifouling (both were industrial paint, so from the description you shouldn't need to change this for several years)
Replaced gasket on stuffing box as this was painted
The engine in the boat was recently renovated when we bought it (i.e. approx. 2010, but after this the boat was on land for over 10 years). Operating time after renovation is only 150 hours!
What has recently been done by service:
Oil change ✅
Replacement of all filters ✅
Cleaning and replacement of the coolant system ✅
Replacement of anodes on the engine block ✅
What has not yet been done in terms of service:
Replacing impeller (is a small oil leak behind impeller housing - not critical at all. Most likely replacement of gasket that fixes it)
The engine is powerful and consumes relatively little per hour given the heavy boat: approx. 5.7 liters per hour.
It must be mentioned: the propeller that is on now is not correctly dimensioned for the boat, so due to this, the engine will not run over 1900 revolutions. After this comes black smoke. "We're often at 1,500 rpm and lower, and we're happy with that. Then the boat goes 6-7 knots.
In addition, leaks have been observed in some parts of the window. This will most likely be fixed with silicone, but has not been prioritized as we are not bothered by it.
The steering position outside has recently been renovated and the control box is new. Flybridge is very cool
The boat is now located at Kongen Marina and can be taken over with a berth.
IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO STAY HERE WITH IT ON!
It is a fantastic neighborhood with nice boat neighbors. Every Tuesday, there is a gathering at the pub where we boaters get a discount on both food and drink. The harbor also has shower and toilet facilities with washing machine and dryer. Water filling and septic emptying.
Price for mooring: SEK 4,500 per month + electricity
Living in a boat is as adventure-filled as it sounds. Winter can be long, but it has its charms too. And when the sun comes out in the spring, you're the happiest people in Oslo.
Dinghy (rubber boat) with 5HP can be included if desired. It has a leak at the front...
