Beskrivelse
Redningsfartøy RS44 Idun - Bjarne Aas, Arbejdsbåd, årg. 1937, fod 60, Diesel, skrog: Træ, hjemhavn: Oslo (Norge), Rare opportunity! The former Norwegian rescue vessel RS44 "Idun" is being considered for sale.
We dare to say that "Idun" is the best preserved lifeboat in the Bjarne Aas class and that she compares favorably with any of the remaining wooden lifeboats. Bjarne Aas was a highly renowned boat designer who was commissioned to design the Norwegian lifeboats after Colin Archer. "Idun" is an important part of the Norwegian Rescue Society's history and Norwegian coastal culture.
"Idun" is a protected vessel that is in good condition. She has been well maintained and considerably upgraded through private funding combined with vessel preservation funds from the National Heritage Board (the Norwegian State) and the UNI Foundation (a total of just over NOK 6 million).
"Idun" has recently been classified in the Norwegian Ship Inspection and previously had a passenger certificate for 28 people in speed range III. It is therefore possible to use the vessel for commercial purposes. A registered limited company can be taken over in the event of a sale.
Please contact the undersigned for further pictures, information and documentation. The stated sales price is to be regarded as an indicative asking price. The sales price may change somewhat depending on what can/should be included in the sale, e.g. equipment, financial subsidies granted, company structure, etc.
The skate has virtually all relevant equipment. In short, the most important are: All three associated sails (jib, mainsail and mizzen), two of which are original from the time as a rescue boat, Radar (original), Radio direction finder (original), Windlass (original), Davits (original), Light boat (original - restoration object), VHF, AIS, Sonar, Generator / auxiliary engine, Air compressor, mobile winch, Rubber boat with motor, Epirb, 2 pcs. Life rafts, 4 pcs. Life buoys, 30 pcs. Life jackets, 2 pcs. Rescue suits, 2 pcs. WC, Shower, Moulded winter tarpaulin with aluminum frame, Lots of miscellaneous equipment, tools, spare parts and historical documentation, Large car trailer with canopy. The list is not exhaustive.
