The company, Ceramica Artistica Solimene (C.A.S.) was created by Vincenzo Solimene of Vietri and became a world leader of artistic ceramics. All CAS items are collectible but most sought are items from 1937 to the 1950's dur to the most creative and innovative artists of the time worked at CAS. These included such artists as Giovannino Carrano, Antonio Franchini, Irene Kowalski, Margaret Hannash Thewalt, Carlos and Susanne Dolker, the wife of the great German ceramist Richard Dolker
