The Eddy Merckx Sallanches 64 Disc is a lightweight carbon fibre road frameset designed to be a versatile machine that can deliver in high-performance racing and longer endurance events, allowing you to go further and faster than you have done previously and helping you enjoy your road cycling more than ever before. In 1964, Eddy Merckx became the amateur world champion in Sallanches, France; this marked the start of his extraordinarily successful career as a cyclist with this bike taking its name from that victory.
The Sallanches 64 combines rider-friendly geometry - a slightly higher head tube and shorter top tube, with a cleverly constructed carbon frame which includes a more flexible flattened profile in the seatstays providing enhanced comfort when seated. These compliant elements contrast with a super-stiff bottom bracket and chainstay area ensuring that all of your energy and pedaling power transfers through to the rear wheel.
