Selling my SSL Alpha VHD XLogic 4-Channel Preamp, a vintage SSL unit that’s no longer in production and becoming increasingly hard to find. This is not the Alpha 8—it delivers far more warmth and character, thanks to its four ultra-clean, high-grade SSL mic preamps and Variable Harmonic Drive (VHD) circuits.
This preamp is a perfect analog companion for digital recording, letting you track everything from pristine vocals to drums and guitars pushed to the edge of sonic destruction. With the VHD circuit, you can add tube-like warmth or transistor-esque grit, making it a powerhouse for any studio setup.
