20 x 20. The KALEVALA annual plates have been in production by Arabia since 1976 and continued for 24 years, until 1999. Each year, a different plate was designed by Raija U. and commemorate the KALEVALA legend, the national epic of Finland.
Kalevala is a 19th-century complitation of epic poetry compiled by Elias Lônnrot for Karelian and Finnish oral folklore and mythology telling an epic story about the creation of the Earth.
