Simonis, årg. 2004, fod 68, skrogmateriale Aluminium, bredde 5.42, dybde 2.40, hk 118, hjemhavn Martinique, This stunning racer/cruiser was built in 1996 by Cen Marine. Designed by Simonis Voogd Design, an international Naval Architectural and Yacht Design studio with several decades of experience. Alexander Simonis and Maarten Voogd are both award winning designers and have been in partnership since 1991.
Bossanova was built to be fast and comfortable, she raced successfully for a number of years and was then stored on the hard for some time. In 2004 she underwent an extensive refit of the hull, keel, rudders, and all systems, basically leaving the shipyard as a new boat, and being re-designated as a 2004 build. She has had many more upgrades since then, including a new engine in 2008.
In 2023 many systems were updated to newer more modern equipment, including all navigation electronics.
Other notable recent updates include:
Full bottom job 2023,
7 coats primer 5 x antifouling
Complete new standing rigging 2023
New mast top wind transducers 2023
New Victron fiber batteries in both battery banks 2023
New stove 2023
New refrigerators 2023
There are a few minor cosmetic issues that could use some attention, she needs some new cushion covers in the salon, and the floor, while sound, could do with a refinishing.
This would be a perfect boat for the performance oriented cruiser who likes to get where they're going quickly, or a racer who enjoys winning while being comfortable.
Bossanova is easily managed shorthanded and has several shorthanded ocean crossings under her belt and has crossed the Atlantic many times in as little as 12 days! She is very well equipped for prolonged passages with all the amenities of home.
She's priced to sell and is ready to sail away.
The ship is Danish owned, and the Danish owner is willing to deliver the boat all over the world, at the Buyers expense.
