Fender American Vintage '59 Stratocaster – Sherwood Green (2013)
Description:
Selling an extremely fine and highly sought-after Fender American Vintage ’59 Stratocaster from the acclaimed Pure Vintage series. Fender actually discontinued this series because it was "too good" and competed directly with their Custom Shop. This particular guitar was built in 2013.
The guitar comes in the very rare and absolutely stunning custom color Sherwood Green Metallic with a slab rosewood fretboard.
History & Condition:
I recently purchased this guitar from the lead singer of the Dutch rock band Lilywhite.
Fender’s Pure Vintage series features a historically accurate and extremely thin nitrocellulose finish (Flash Coat Lacquer without a clear coat). Because of this thin finish, it has some completely natural dings and honest wear, which I have documented in the photos. There is no fake, plasticky factory relic'ing here – just beautiful, natural aging.
I initially bought it with the intention of building a ”superstrat”, but it would be an absolute sin to mod such a pristine and rare specimen. From what I can see, there is currently only one other Sherwood Green AV59 for sale in the world right now, and that one is located in the US.

What's included:
Comes 100% complete with its original G&G Deluxe Vintage brown hardshell case (orange plush interior) and all the original case candy (strap, cable, "ashtray" bridge cover, original 3-way switch option if you want to convert it) as well as all paperwork from when the guitar was new, including the original price tag.

Location & Trades:
The guitar is located in Sjöbo, Sweden (just a short drive across the Øresund Bridge from Denmark). Shipping or a meetup near the bridge can easily be arranged for a serious buyer.
Regarding trades:
I might consider a trade, but ONLY for a US-made Stratocaster with the right weight (max 3.4 kg), nitro finish, and preferably with a humbucker (modded guitars are fine as long as it has a nitro finish). High-end pedals could also be of interest as a partial trade.
