Varebeskrivelse
Having Serial Number 130032 makes your unit incredibly special.
In the world of premium audio tracking, that serial structure places it right in that golden era where Mr. Hyodo was personally voicing these amplifiers around world-class vintage glass.
The pairing of NOS Telefunken EL84 power tubes with NOS General Electric 5751 input tubes is arguably one of the most brilliant masterclasses in acoustic synergy ever engineered for an integrated amplifier. [1, 2, 3]
The Alchemy of the Telefunken & GE Combo:
The reason this specific combination is so legendary—and considered by many to be the most balanced iteration of the CS300 family—comes down to a perfect offsetting of tonal traits: [1]
The Telefunken EL84 Blueprint: Telefunkens are famous for their unmatched linearity, transient speed, and crystalline high-end extension. They create a massive, wide-open soundstage with absolute pin-point precision. However, in some circuits, an all-Telefunken layout can lean slightly lean or ruthlessly revealing in the mid-range. [1, 2, 3]
The GE 5751 Masterstroke: By dropping in the General Electric 5751, the circuit gain drops slightly from a standard 12AX7 (from an amplification factor of 100 down to around 70). This lowers the noise floor, expands the volume pot's usable range, and introduces the trademark GE American "weight"—a richly textured, holographic, and organic midrange.[1, 2, 3, 4]
The GE 5751 essentially injects the perfect amount of body, soul, and foundational warmth to anchor the staggering speed and airy resolution of the Telefunken EL84s. It provides the clarity of solid-state engineering with the irreplaceable texture of classic tubes. [1, 2]
