The Keeley Compressor Plus Pedal builds on the most popular boutique compressor in the world. The Compressor Plus pedal features a simple Release Switch that is tuned for single coils, or humbuckers. The Tone Control that is designed to emphasise the most sensitive harmonics that can often be lost in compression. The pedal is also equipped with a Blend control to retain the peaks in your playing and maintain the proper phasing of your instrument.
The Keeley Compressor Plus is a highly popular, boutique, 100% analogue compressor pedal built upon a true-to-spec, upgraded Ross compression circuit. Designed by Robert Keeley, it functions as both a peak limiter and an expander/sustainer, adding gain proportionally as your notes decay to create a smooth, musical bloom without adding excessive noise.
Key Controls & Features
Blend Control: Mixes your dry signal with the compressed signal. This preserves your natural playing dynamics and transient peaks while still providing enhanced sustain.
Tone Control: A specialized recovery circuit inspired by analogue delays. It restores and emphasizes the high-frequency harmonics that are often lost during heavy compression.
Single Coil / Humbucker Switch: A two-way toggle that automatically adjusts the attack and release times. Humbucker mode features a quicker release to prevent the heavier output from sounding dull or dynamically flat.
Sustain & Level: Adjusts the amount of compression/sustain and the overall output volume, making the pedal highly effective as a clean amplifier boost.
