The TC Electronic Plethora X5 is a flexible tone-creation hub designed for players who want digital versatility without losing an intuitive, analog-style layout. It functions as a flexible multi-effects board that houses up to five customizable MASH footprint pedals in any order.
Key Specifications & Features
Pedal Slots: 5 independent slots; chain up to 5 delay, reverb, modulation, compression, pitch, or utility effects simultaneously.
TonePrint Library: Full access to TC Electronic’s TonePrint library, allowing you to load specific artist presets or deep-edit parameters via the TonePrint App (Bluetooth/USB).
MASH Foot-Switches: All 5 switches feature pressure-sensitive MASH technology, allowing real-time parameter expression (e.g., swelling reverb tails, increasing feedback, or bending pitch) without an external expression pedal.
Signal Routing & Board Memory: Store up to 127 custom board layouts. Signal order is fully re-orderable per board (e.g., place pitch before or after modulation).
FX Loop (Insert Point): Built-in send/return loop allows 4-cable method routing to place external drive/fuzz pedals or preamps exactly where needed in the chain.
Global Features: Built-in UniTune chromatic tuner, global cabinet simulator (for direct recording/PA direct out), and tap tempo.
I/O & Connectivity: Stereo inputs and outputs, full MIDI In/Thru support, Expression pedal input, USB, and Bluetooth
