Varebeskrivelse
The Macallan 18 Years Double Cask Single Malt Scotch Whiskey
The Macallan 18 Year Old Double Cask embodies the art of Scottish whisky making in its purest form. This unpeated single malt from the renowned Speyside region unfolds an opulent array of aromas, including dried fruits, juicy oranges, and spicy ginger, underscored by creamy toffee and delicate nutmeg. On the palate, the full splendor of sherry cask maturation is revealed with intense raisins and sultanas, while dried apricots and velvety vanilla provide a sweet balance.
Eighteen years of maturation in carefully selected European and American Oloroso sherry casks lend this Highland whisky its characteristic depth and complexity. The double cask process creates a perfect balance between the spice of Spanish oak and the sweetness of American sherry casks. This masterful combination makes every sip a multi-layered taste experience, accompanied by notes of toasted wood and baked apple.
The long, warm finish tingles pleasantly with ginger and citrus notes, while the elegant oak spice lingers gently. Whether enjoyed neat or as a sophisticated ingredient in a long drink, this amber-colored whisky delights connoisseurs and newcomers alike with its oily, creamy character and the complex sherry notes that have made the House of Macallan world-famous.
