Linn Majik Aktiv System – With 2024 Service & Updates
I am selling my Linn music system. It is a complete "Aktiv" setup, which means the speakers are controlled directly by the amplifiers using active crossovers. It is a very capable system that sounds great and is easy to use.
The system consists of:
• Linn Majik DS-I: Combined streamer and amplifier (Roon, Network, Tidal, Spotify, Internet Radio). It also includes a high-quality built-in phono stage (RIAA) for a turntable.
• Linn Majik 2100: An extra power amplifier used for the active configuration.
• Linn Ninka Speakers: A pair of floor-standing speakers.
• Linn Cables: Includes original Linn signal cables and 2x4 meter speaker cables (4-core, bi-wired) made specifically for this setup.
Maintenance and Updates:
In 2024, the Majik DS-I was updated and serviced by Linn professionals. The active crossovers were installed and the power supply was updated to the latest version. This service cost 4,000 DKK and ensures the electronics are fresh and modern.
Modern Features & Compatibility:
• Spotify Connect: You can play music directly from the Spotify app on your phone.
• Roon Support: The system is recognized by Roon, making it easy to integrate into a modern music library.
• Linn App: Full room control and correction over volume, sources, and settings via your phone or tablet.
• Software Updates: The system still receives software updates from Linn to keep it running smoothly.
• Space Optimisation: Supports Linn’s digital room correction to help the sound fit your specific room.
