The phone features a bright 2.8-inch touchscreen, a large battery, and versatile connectivity options, with ease of use and safety in field work taken into account in its design.
The HMD Terra M meets IP68 and IP69K ratings, providing protection against dust, water, and high-pressure hot water jets. It withstands drops from up to 1.8 meters and operates reliably across a wide temperature range from –25 °C to +55 °C. A TPU bumper protects against impacts, and the Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3 display resists scratches and impacts, functioning well even with gloves or wet fingers.
The phone supports 4G LTE networks, including VoLTE and VoWiFi calls, as well as hotspot functionality. Dual-SIM card slots and eSIM support offer flexibility. Additionally, the device features Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, a USB Type-C port, and GPS, A-GPS, Galileo, and GLONASS positioning systems, ensuring reliable connectivity in demanding conditions.
The HMD Terra M is designed for use even with gloves, featuring large physical buttons and a touchscreen. Programmable shortcut keys allow quick access to essential functions like Push-to-Talk and emergency buttons. Audio is optimized for noisy environments thanks to the speaker and microphone noise cancellation.
The phone features an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and an LED flash, enabling reliable photography in various lighting conditions. Additionally, the device includes a powerful white flashlight and a red LED light, which helps preserve night vision in dark spaces.
The 2510 mAh battery provides a long standby time of up to 10 days, with a charging time of approximately 3 hours via the USB Type-C port. The battery is easily replaceable without special tools, which is beneficial for field use. The Qualcomm Dragonwing QCM2290 chipset ensures stability and performance for business use.
The device supports remote management via the HMD FOTA system, enabling centralized control of software and security updates. It is compatible with various Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions, such as Microsoft Intune and Soti Mobicontrol, simplifying device fleet management for businesses.
