"One day I will make onion cry!"
A raindrop resting inside an onion blossom — sunlight passing through purple layers — transforms into a surreal inner landscape. Nature's inner space becomes a mirror for the psyche.
"I was obsessed with shooting drops and fought myself for it - it seemed silly, I felt I must capture something 'normal,' something understandable. This onion flower was the moment I gave myself permission to go my own way. The relief made me cry, and laugh: even an onion flower can make one cry! Later I learned about aphantasia, and understood the obsession. I had been capturing not just beautiful nature, but my inner self." — Inna Etuvgi
