Selling my Thorens TD2001
Comes with power supply, TP90 headshell and rubber matt, all original Thorens.
Fully refurbished by the previous owner
Made from 1989 to 2001 with the rarer and nicer mahogany plinth
Floating leaf spring suspension, semi-automatic
With probably Thorens' best center bearing and TP90 tonearm.
Plays excellently
Work done
1: PCB change
2: Replaced an electrolytic capacitor on the new PCB that controls auto stop which was out of spec, adjusted auto stop
3: Cleaned and lubricated motor
4: Cleaned and polished pulley and inner plate.
5: Cleaned and lubricated the center bearing (with the correct oil).
6: Reassembled the tonearm completely.
Ground connection resoldered on properly. Tonearm reassembled and adjusted
7: Replaced cables with new and better ones inside the turntable from the tonearm to the RCA jacks on the back (mogami 2947). + Cleaned the circuit board under the tonearm.
8: Brand new drive belt from Nanocamp (big upgrade to sound and speed stability)
10: Cleaned and polished plinth with beeswax
Cosmetically turntable and lid in near flawless condition considering the age with light signs of use
Pickup and sound care feet not included
Exactly as seen, a classic with lots of information on the Google.
