The Fulltone Fat Boost FB-2 is a Class-A JFET boost pedal designed to provide up to 35dB of gain while acting as a natural compressor to "fatten" your guitar signal. It was a complete ground-up redesign of the original Fat Boost, aimed at offering higher headroom and improved tone-shaping capabilities.

Key Features and Specifications
Circuitry: 100% Discrete Class-A JFET design with no op-amps for maximum signal purity.
Boost Range: Capable of delivering up to 35dB of clean boost.
Controls: Features four knobs: Volume, Drive, Bass, and Treble.
Power: Operates on a standard 9V DC power supply or 9V battery, but can also be run at 18V for even higher headroom.
Bypass: Features true bypass switching to ensure no tone coloration when the pedal is off.

Tone Shaping: The Treble control can add sparkle or "brown up" the sound for more aggressive tones. The Bass control is pre-clipping, which helps keep neck-pickup tones tight and prevents them from becoming flabby.
Headroom and Compression: Known for having exceptional headroom before clipping, it also functions as a natural compressor, making it popular for evening out recording levels.
Versatility: While primarily a clean booster, cranking the Drive control can produce Tweed-style crunch or a slight "dirty" character similar to fuzz.
Stacking: It is effective as an "always on" pedal to warm up a signal or for pushing other overdrive pedals and amplifiers into deeper saturation
