“O Brother where art thou?” er her opført ved en koncert.
Countrymusik genvandt sin traditionelle sjæl med hitlistens toptriumf fra "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" lydspor. Denne koncert, optaget og filmet i Nashvilles ærværdige Ryman Auditorium, genforener Emmylou Harris, Gillian Welch, Alison Krauss og Union Station og andre O Brother-standouts.
Med lidt overlapning forlænger udvalget filmens genoplivning af akustisk spirituals og appalachisk ballade, selvom koncertens præstationer og tempo ikke er helt så konsekvent overbevisende som studiesoundtracket.
Blandt højdepunkterne er et par originaler af Welch og David Rawlings, den bluesagtige "Dear Someone" og den Everlyesque "I Want to Sing That Rock and Roll". Hvor O Brother blandede arkivoptagelser blandt det moderne kunstnerskab, finder koncerten Nashville gospel's Fairfield Four, der harmonerer med kæde-bandens sang "Po' Lazarus", mens den afdøde John Hartford (i en af hans sidste forestillinger) fornyer den dødelige lune af "Big Rock Candy Mountain.”
