The Story & Condition The Seiko 5 Sports "SNZG" series is widely regarded as one of the best automatic field watches ever produced in its category. This specific model, the blue-dialed SNZG11, features a rugged, matte bead-blasted case and a highly legible military-inspired dial with an inner 24-hour track. Crucially, this is the highly sought-after "J1" version, meaning it was manufactured in Japan (proudly displayed on the dial). The watch is powered by the incredibly dependable 23-jewel caliber 7S36 workhorse movement, which can be admired through the exhibition glass case back.
At Nimbus Watches, we value complete transparency. Because field watches are designed to be worn hard, it is rare to find them without some stories to tell. This piece has been very well preserved overall, with the crystal, crown, and dial showing almost no visible usage. The matte bead-blasted case remains very clean, though it does carry a minor ding on the side—a small, honest mark of character for a true tool watch.
It comes mounted on its original, heavy-duty blue Seiko nylon canvas strap, which perfectly complements the utilitarian aesthetic. Running perfectly and looking incredibly sharp, this is the ultimate "grab-and-go" everyday mechanical watch.
