Classic mid-century telephone seat by British furniture maker Chippy Heath. Features a dark mahogany-stained reeded wood frame with upholstered back and seat cushion in grey tweed, teal seat pad, and a side storage compartment with a small drawer and red fabric-topped surface — originally designed to hold a telephone directory. Elegant curved arms and clean proportions typical of British 1950s–60s design. A versatile and characterful piece, perfect for an entrance hall or bedroom corner.
Shows signs of age consistent with a vintage piece — minor wear to the wood frame and fabric.
