Thanks to the unique Qualcomm® QCM6490 extended life chipset, we can provide support for longer than ever. For Fairphone 5, we are planning:
---> 5 Android version upgrades.
---> At least 8 (we'll try 10!) years of security updates.
---> Monthly security updates for about 3 years, and then we will switch to bi-monthly security updates* from mid-2026 until the end of the software support.
