The book is Written by Jörg Schwandt, In Danish and German and with summaries in English.
It was Published for the 1998 Svend Weihrauch exhibition at the Museum at Koldinghus Denmark and Grassimuseum, Leipzig, and Museum für Angewandte Kunst, Köln.
The book covers his wonderful silvermith work in cutlery, jewellry and hollowware.
The book is hardback, 198 pages, in as new condition, no markings or inscriptions on any pages.

The book focuses on the period From 1928 to 1956, when silversmith Svend Weihrauch (1899-1962) was in charge of design, workshop and production activities at the Franz Hingleberg Silversmiths company in Arhus, Denmark.
The book covers his international success from 1932 onwards, particularly at the World's fair in Brussels in 1935, Paris in 1937, and New York in 1939.
Svend Weihrauch was unusually prolific. In the course of his twenty eight years at Hingelberg's he drafted approx. 4,500 designs for hollowware, cutlery and jewelry and almost all of these were produced. As many as possible are shown in the book.
The first pages of the book show his designs in the Art Deco style but they become more stereometric from 1931/32 onward.
From c. 1935 onward, the stringent constructivism of Weihrauch's designs gives way to shapes that are increasingly organic in inspiration.
The cutlery designed by Svend Weihrauch , and shown , id distinguished by the functionalist sense of simplicity and marks the beginning of a new epoch in design. Until 1948, such cutlery was exclusively made by hand, and thus only found in small numbers.
Weihrauch's work in jewelry design is of lesser significance and not covered in the same depth.
The jewellry shown features naturalistic floral decoration demonstrate all the skills of traditional craftsmanship.
