Small Longquan Celadon Glazed Double Gourd Vase
China, Qing dynasty.
A finely potted double gourd vase covered in a soft Longquan celadon glaze of even tone. The elegant, waisted form is divided into two bulbous sections, symbolising prosperity and continuity, a motif long associated with auspicious meaning in Chinese arts. The glaze pools subtly around the contours, accentuating the rounded profile and creating gentle tonal variation.
Condition (UV-checked):
Very good condition, no damage. The glaze has crackle and some minor wear.
