Unik antik Afrikansk Sukuma skjold, Sukuma, Very Old African Sukuma shield from 1900-1920 with an amazing patina.
Thick Buffalo hide with side indentation, a raise boss in the center with wooden handle and leather binding.
Origin: Tanzania
Used to be carried by Niatura warriors for defense and rituals purposes.
Was a part of my granddad’s collection and unfortunately don’t know much more about it.
