1965 Gibson Byrdland Sunburst Florentine. 1 of only 66 Byrdlands made in 1965 and 1 of 728 Florentine Byrdlands ever made. The Byrdland is typically the most expensive guitar in Gibson's catalog, and this is the finest 60s Sunburst example on the planet. It is the sister of the 1965 Byrdland N also listed here for sale and comes from the same London collection. The guitar was recently on loan to the Gibson Garage in London, where it was setup ahead of a professional photo shoot for an upcoming Gibson artist as seen in the first three photos here. It will be the prize of any collection for the price of a new Rolex. Skip the watch and get this. Incredible condition for a 61 year old instrument. Comes with original hard case with Gibson badge intact. Normal aging and tarnish to hardware which has not been cleaned to maintain vintage patina. Most would qualify this as a case queen.
