Stand: Brugt - men i god stand
I am selling my Gaggia Classic Pro which I used since 2023 since I upgraded to a newer machine.
Two gaggia descaling solutions are included which should cover your first 4 descales (about 4 months)
I have installed almost all of the modifications that are popular with this machine and which drastically improved the espresso quality!
🪛 Mods:
- OPV kit:
Reduces brew pressure from the horrible 12 bar to 9 bar. I have kept the springs in case you want to try 6.5 or 5 bar
- PID:
The original machine uses a simple thermostat for the pressure which forces you to do the so called "temp surfing" to get decent results. A PID lets you choose the desired temperature and makes sure the temperature stays there! This is the biggest and hardest to install modification.
- Improved Steam Valve:
the original steam valve has the tendency to leak after a few months which causes water to constantly leak out of the steam wand. The new valve has a different design that prevents that. I have also included the kit for its maintenance & fix.
- IMS precision shower screen (nanotech)
Improves the flow through the group head. The nanotech coating makes it harder for coffee particles to stick to it. The hex screw is simply much nicer to remove when cleaning is needed.
- Various Quality of Life
These don't have any effect on espresso quality but they are nice to have! It includes a wooden knob, bottomless portafilter, a spare dispersion plate & original shower screen. I am also including a funnel that goes on top of the basket to make sure the grounded coffee stays inside the portafilter!
- Baskets
In addition to all the original portafilter baskets I am including one blind filter basket for backflushing
🧼 Cleaning routine
The machine has been recently descaled and the boiler O-ring was replaced.
Generally I followed this routine for cleaning:
- daily wash of baskets, shower screen, steam wand
- weekly backflushing, deep basket and shower head cleaning, water tank wash.
- monthly descaling
